How To Climb The Peg Board For Beginners

The Peg Board is a challenging exercise that takes not only a lot of grip, back, lat and core strength, but also a comfort with being able to hang and swing while moving the pegs.

These beginner exercises will help you build the strength to climb the peg board while also helping you become more comfortable hanging from one arm while pulling the other peg out.

Peg Board Exercise Variations:

3. Scapular Pull Ups (1:45)
4. Shoulder Rolls (1:57)
5. Pull Ups (2:10)
6. Single-Arm Hangs (2:27)
7. Staggered Pull Up (2:40)
8. Hang with Peg Pull (2:52)
9. Weight Shift (3:05)
10. Up/Down (3:21)
11. Horizontal Climb (3:35)
12. Vertical Climb (3:55)

i remember back in the 70"S our gym at school installed one..it actually had steel pegs with bicycle grips. it was so fun.. the skinny dudes were pretty good at it..

After training with pull-ups, chin-ups, deadhangs and staggered pull-ups for 2 weeks, I actually managed to climb 2 peg hole yesterday for the first time.

By following your tutorial(different workouts you have shown to learn pegboard climb faster) I was able to complete/learn horizontal pegboard climb. Thankful and greatful to you🙏👍❤👏

Amazing. I can't even do one single pull up anymore. I was skinny as a rail back in the 80's in the service. I went from 118 to 198. I would love to have the strength to do this again.

Gonna try this out tomorrow:D kinda exiting, I'm really looking forward to this. I can only do 3 strict Pull ups so it will definitely be really hard, but hopefully fun;)

thank you since i was a little kid i used to hang from door moldings using only my finger tips and doing pullups from that position something i still do today
