the story of this vault is so sad, a man’s wife is forced to have sex with other men in order for them to not vote for her husband to be killed, and she gives herself to them, and they still vote for her husband anyway. then she kills those guys or something and the remaining vault dwellers make a pact to not sacrifice anyone and to commit suicide together as the result of the vault rule if no one was sacrificed. then, when the time came for the sacrifice, the vault congratulated them and revealed it was a test of morality, and that no one had to die, and all the deaths and suffering was for nothing

The worst part about this is that if they didn’t kill anybody nothing would’ve happened and they would’ve been able to live a peaceful life that was part of the experiment. It really sucks.

I would have just made sure 3 kids were born each year and sacrificed a child. We have the technology to make child birth and significantly less painful and time consuming process. Even commemorate the child and follow up with a celebration to them for giving us another year.
