I’ve been rocking a 7th gen since the beginning of 2020 and I genuinely think it’s still a good value, I used it for drawing for these 3 years and now I use it for note taking, I can totally draw on it still I just don’t want to, it takes a lot and it’s a really good deal if you can get a refurbish one in case you are on a budget

I use an iPad 7, amazing. Your getting what you need for an iPad. The cameras are pretty bad, but with a modern iPhone and an iCloud account you should be fine. It’s still going strong.

Glad to see your review, I am a student and had the iPad mini 2 before which was too outdated so I upgraded to the iPad 7 and it’s amazing. I was originally planning to go for the iPad 9 gen cause I saw you suggesting it in another video but that was too expensive and out of my range for a student like me so I went with the iPad 7. I am planning to keep it for atleast 2-3 years before upgrading again.

I’m writing this comment and watching this video on my Ipad 7th generation, silver, 128 gb, wifi, bought in Christmas 2019.
It will be soon 4 years that I have it and still use it to this day, it never visited a repair service since its manufacture.
Still has its first battery ( which now drains faster than usual but for my use, it is very acceptable ).

Only Two pretty bad things happened to and it is:

1. The charging port is very damaged ( not the parts, but in terms of electronics, when you plug in the charger, it barely ever detects it, I have to press so hard, almost slap it brutally so that it sensors the charger ).
2. The iPad’s bottom is significantly bent - back in 2020, I used it for a lot of gaming ( but I’m more grown up now and use it for work ) and it just bent and was no longer straight, still a miracle that the screen’s not cracked today.

Overall, it still works perfectly, it’s not slow despite using it with iOS 16.6 ( back then its first software version was iOS 13 ).
I still don’t want to upgrade to a new iPad, this one is good enough for me, so if you’re looking for something just for your work, fast, reliable ( if not, just few problems overtime while aging ) and affordable, this iPad’s just for you!

(Oct, 2023) Got my 7th gen for $60 refurbished. Runs iOS 17 decently, the Pencil works as it should. Would totally recommend it.

This iPad 7th was the very first iPad I ever used since 2020 till present. That performance is just A10 Fusion but still suitable for daily use.
But the only con was this iPad was freaking slow charging. I used my 18W fast charger to charge my iPad from 20% - 100% need 4hrs more.

I was going to buy the 10 when I realized that maybe it's not the best financial investment (700 CAD). Then I looked at the 9th generation, it was quite expensive at Apple (580 CAD) and I needed an iPad before June 8th. I went to a store and got the 7th 128GB refurbished and ngl I don't regret it, especially since I plan on using it for at least 3 years. It has the same on-screen motions as my iPhone 11 so that's quite nice!!!!
