From the biggest of the big cats, to the biggest snakes, to the biggest sea creatures that have ever been caught! Join me as I reveal to you 10 of the biggest animals that have been recorded!
10. Lolong
This is the story about a crocodile, one of the largest ever caught, and for this story we go to the Philippines, where they somehow caught a massive saltwater crocodile that they eventually named Lolong. Not so ironically, Lolong is not only the longest crocodile ever caught, but it's also the heaviest.
9. Japanese Spider Crab
These appropriately named spider crabs are not only creepy but they can be the size of your car!! The Japanese Spider Crab is the largest arthropod in the world with long spindly legs and disproportionate body, they can grow to be over 12 feet long and weigh up to 44 pounds. They can be found usually in the deep sea off of the coast of Japan so don’t worry, unless you are deep sea fishing or hanging around at 2000 feet below sea level, you should be ok!
8. Liger
There are many animals in the world that have been created by humans, and would never exist naturally in the wild. One of the most abnormally large creatures to come from this kind of breeding is known as the Liger. Yes, Liger, as in "Lion + Tiger". In this particular case a male lion mating with a female tiger. You might think that this kind of "fusion" is made up, or something from fairy tales, but it's very real.
7. Continental Giant Rabbit
The Continental Giant, also known as the German Giant, is a very large breed of rabbit which was originally bred for meat. They are one of the largest breeds of rabbits in the world.However, all Giant breeds have originally derived from the Flemish Giant, founded in Flanders, Belgium in the late 1800’s. Giant rabbits usually weigh around 15 pounds
6. Giant Squid
Squids are often considered one of the more "mysterious" creatures of the ocean due to the fact that they often live deep in the waters and they don't make it to the surface that often. So much so that there's a lot of debate about just how big some of these species can get. The biggest one that has been recorded though was a Giant Squid, one that was measured at 43 feet in length, and based on estimations of the body showed that it weighed just about a ton.
5. Ostrich
The Ostrich is officially the largest bird on Earth in terms of body size and height. Which I'm sure will not come as a surprise to many because it's one of the few birds in the world today that can't fly. (Probably because of its massive size).
4. Zeus The Dog
One of the many wondrous things about dogs is that they come in all shapes, sizes, fur types, and personalities. Truly making it a species that can find an owner no matter what they're looking for, but if you're curious about the dog that literally towers over all others, that would be the Great Dane known as Zeus.
3. Reticulated Python
Not unlike sharks, there have been MANY claims as to what the longest snake ever recorded was that is still alive on this Earth. However, both in terms of average size and recorded size, that distinction goes to the Reticulated Python.

The Great White Shark is one of the most feared sharks in the world today, and one of the many myths about it is that the Great White is the biggest shark around. It's not, but it is THE biggest predatory shark in the world. Although their size is up for debate.
1. Blue Whale
When it comes to the biggest animal on Earth, that title would go to the Blue Whale. The blue whale is the biggest animal that has existed on Earth EVER so you should feel honored that we are around at the same time as they are !! The Blue Whale species in particular completely dwarfs all other whales in the world (obviously).
