Cryptid By State Georgia

Today marks our 25th entry in the Cryptid By State series where we are looking at Georgia. While this state doesn't have as many cryptids as some I did manage to uncover a few that I am sure are fairly unknown.

I've seen a black panther in Kingston, GA, about 45 years ago. The thing was big. My cousin, and I, were playing in his backyard, when my uncle came out with his rifle, and told us to go inside. We went in, and watched, as the cat slunk through the yard, into the woods. It was crazy.

I am a boy from Georgia, and I have 2 stories to tell. Now, I live in Georgia and was raised in Georgia I come from a slightly poor area, but that's not the point. I do believe I know the Julie that you are talking about, and I too had an experience with the black thing. I was in my room late one night with my dog. We were in the bed sitting, when I heard a scratching noise coming from my window. I had a rifle and a knife in my room, so I got up grabbed my knife and opened the sheath. I held the knife in my hands and waited. I swear on my life I went to the window to see what it was. I will never forget what I saw. A Huge creature was standing there, and I could see some of its long, awful teeth. I got up grabbed the knife and ran to my dad's room. We went out there with a gun and a few knives. I swear I heard something move outside. A few weeks later it happened again, and we did the same thing. I never saw it again
Now for the other story. I was kayaking by myself a few times on the Savannah River, and I have encountered the Ultima Haha, or I think I have. At first it felt like a gator was under me, but it doesn't act like a gator. A chill goes up your back and you feel the need to escape. I started Kayaking as fast as I could to get away. and I scrambled onto the dock. I swear I saw something swim off once I got on land. Thank you for reading my stories. This is all

The one with the winged creature sent chills up my spine! This happened almost 12 years ago now, when I was 18.. I was with a group of friends when we suddenly saw a dark figure high up in the trees. It looked like it was swinging on the branches. Then it stood up straight and looked almost like a man and you could tell it was staring at us... then wings seemed to grow out of nowhere before it jumped off the branch and flew away!! I know all of us saw it, because we all screamed and took off running at the same time before jumping into the car and speeding away. This is my first time hearing of a similar creature, so I'm really excited!!

Now I am imagining Cryptid Adoption agencies.

The raptors from Jurassic Park were originally based on deinonychus... Chriton used the name Velociraptor cause it sounded cooler.

Thank you for continuing the Cryptid Family Road Trip, Ben! It's been a gloriously weird and thought-provoking journey so far.
Congratulations on making your 25th video in this series. I think that your Cryptid-By-State project is really commendable. I wouldn't have been confident enough in the availability of mention-worthy cryptids in EVERY state to even think of taking on something of this scope; but you have proven to all of us that there is far more strangeness afoot, all across this country, than most people would imagine! Well done!
Like all great trips, I am in no hurry for this one to end, but at the same time I look forward to each new video you create. Thanks again for all of the information and entertainment you are sharing with us, and I wish you every sort of positive fortune in your future endeavors!

once when i was dating my children 's dad, we drove back to my house through the Chickamauga Battle field.On our way back we stood by the Wilder Tower lets just say a Fog rolled up and there was something in tower looking at us!! We got the Hell out of there!! It happened March 1992😊!!

It was awesome to see the Wog listed! It and the legends surrounding Nodaroc are really popular here in Winder GA! The book Beadland to Barrow has a lot of good info on these old stories.
