To put this into perspective for me, the M2 base model is probably the best internet device to only use for investment accounts, banking and select trusted retailers such as Amazon, Walmart and such. It is also powerful enough to smoothly run a word processor suite for all your personal and business correspondence writing.

Comparing the M2 Pro mini and M2 Pro MBP... If you already have mouse, keyboard and monitor (which is my case) you'll of course keep the $700 savings. Which makes a great deal again!
I think it's definitely a point to Apple!

Maybe i missed it, but you left out one extremely important thing. If you do not buy the 1 TB version of the M2 Pro, it will benchmark much slower and close to the M1 due the the different NAND chips. I do not understand why Apple are allowed to hide this important issue. The difference between 512 GB and 1TB should be 3.000 mb/s vs 6.000 mb/s

Whilst the base model is cheaper, the replacement for the higher end Intel Mac Mini is significantly more expensive than the model it replaces. Plus the essential upgrades to the base model are not reduced in price

For someone who already have keyboard, mouse and monitor this is great deal! I already have Windows laptop that i am using in stationary work with another keyboard, mause and display. Now I am thinking about this Mac mini... Hmmmm

It’s so hard between m2 pro stock version or to upgrade the ram to 32gb. At this point, should I just get the studio instead ?! Gosh this is so difficult. I probably just go for base M2 pro for overall value.
