If you could bring back one style of home, what would it be? 🤔

The Craftsman! It's always been my favorite! The Octagon house is also one that I would like to see make a comeback!!

We wanted a Queen Anne for years and were thrilled when we found one that worked for our family and budget. The woodwork and stairway were still intact. Five years later, I still sometimes look around and think, "Wow, I live here?"

We live in a fab Atomic ranch home, almost all glass, in a wooded area. I love being able to see trees, birds, deer, right up close and personal — no matter what room we’re in. The cats appreciate that, too! Also love that there’s no corners and a central floor plan, every room is connected. The kids could run around the whole house and never run into a wall. We have decks on all sides as well. The architects who did these houses had a real eye for nature, the windows are floor to ceiling! And when it snows, I feel as if we’re in a snow globe. ❄️

I had a beautiful Craftsman Bungalow in California, built in 1914, and it will always be my favorite home. The craftsmanship was amazing and all solid Redwood. The doors still fit so well after so many years, you could close them with one finger and hear a satisfying "ca-lump-click". Many happy memories.

Hands down Queen Anne! I live in a 1980s Victorian-esque home that looks like a dollhouse and was over the moon to purchase it.

Craftsman is the home I would bring back. Have always been madly in love with it. The style, the wood, the porches, the stained glass.

Walking into one immediately soothes me and drops my blood pressure lol

Queen Anne. I live in one built in 1885. It has all the original doors, windows, and beautiful woodwork in great shape. Well maintained.

The audio engineering to the narration on this video is superb. No whistling dentures, no overpowering music. I wish all videos could sound like this.

Tudor my personal favorite. It makes me feel nostalgic for a time I’ve never frequented

I rehabbed a Federal in downtown Sacramento. It had been turned into a five-unit "flop house." Bought it because it was cheap and near my sister who was doing two of her own. Full of pipe in the walls (for gas lighting), broken lath and plaster, no insulation--and as far as I could tell--impossible to do in the walls. I ran around town looking for the beautiful old light fixtures that MIGHT have once been mine! My parents helped me clean, polish and wire them. Working as a secretary, it was week-end warrior training. Fortunately, I found a great carpenter! When I sold it--after 12 years' slow, grueling work, I bought a small abandoned thing in a great neighborhood and started again. I now had a retirement account building, and had learned all sorts of skills to go with my blisters! Take care.

I would bring back the queen Anne style. Those are the most beautiful houses that I have ever seen and been in. They might look and feel extravagant but they feature lots of space and a homey relaxed feel that makes me feel like I'm home.

Octagon and Queen Anne, I love the uniqueness and originality they allowed.

I love wrap-around porches, so I’d have to say the Queen Anne, but so many of these styles are just great. I would love to see most of them make a comeback.

American four squares is my dream home. My great aunt lives in a brick American four square and I love it, lots of character and style for being so simple
