This week I talk about The Black Witch. The Black Witch is written by author Laurie Forest and came out earlier this month. This book has magic, adventure, a group of unlikely heroes and a school where people with magic go.

I read it also and I agree with you 100%.. Its very sad how the book community is bashing Laurie Forest. It was a beautiful message about hope, forgiving, redemption, and finding common ground. Thank you for reading the books and keeping an open mind. Bless you and we need more reviewers like you who use their own minds and not echo what others say.

The book was incredible. I'm not quite at the end, but oh my god. I am kinda sad there wasn't much action, but I have high hopes for The Iron Flower. I hope her and Yvan become a thing too, and Lukas changes and fasts to one of Elloren's friends and Fallon tries to kill them but she dies. I think there should have been more tragedy but still loved the book. I laughed, and... well ddnt cry but got sad at times. I totally loved hearing ur thoughts.

I'm currently reading it and will do a book review and then a discussion video because quite frankly, I don't get why Booktube is being so nasty to the author and it saddens me.

There's a lot of Celtic, Briton, and a touch of Norse culture in this book, along with old Irish Catholicism that also influences the world. Her map looks like the British and Emerald Isles even. The moment I saw her Celtic spelling of "Fae" and "Keltic", I knew where she was coming from.

Interesting! I've only heard bad things about this book so far, so it was nice to get a different perspective.

Nice review. I was totally loving the shiny cover tbh.

I appreciated what Laurie Forest was trying to do. I think she needs to read more philosophy before she actually tries to write the second book (or more Brandon Sanderson), but I see what she was attempting to address in the world that she created.
I’m happy to know that I’m not the only person who liked it :)
