Russian troops flee as Ukrainian forces make rapid gains

Ukrainian forces have entered the strategic city of Izium after five months of Russian occupation.
In its first response to the gains made by Ukrainian forces in the last few days, the Russian Defense Ministry said that "the decision was made to regroup Russian troops" and redirect to Donetsk region. #CNN #News

Really proud of the Ukrainians, their fortitude and creativity in the conflict as evidenced by this latest battle.

That being said, this is a battle not the war, a significant gain but they have to hold this territory. The Russians will be regrouping, we'll see what that brings

This is a demonstration of the courage, the bravery and the resolve of the Ukrainian people. And it is not just the result of the Ukrainians being supplied by the west. The people in Afghanistan and Iraq were given even better arms and ended up surrendering the instant the Americans left. This just shows that without courage and determination people can never be free. And this also exposes Putin's lie that "Ukraine wanted to be liberated by Russia."
