I think BYD is going to miss the perfect time to enter the US market. If they let Tesla beat them with the Model 2/A, then it will be too late. The US needs affordable ev options and BYD has them. Why is everyone so fixed on the tax credit, most people do not qualify for all of it anyway. If the car is priced lower than a new ice car, it will sell without it.

Toyota is doomed. At the end of 2022, Toyota was the most indebted company in the whole world. They are about 5 years behind in the EV race compared to Tesla and BYD. They have the EV technology to design a few concept cars, but they don't have the formula to mass assembly EV's at a profit. The Japanese government will have to bail out Toyota to prevent thousands of employees from being laid off at factories manufacturing gasoline cars.
