This was amazingly simple !
I’ve always had gas heaters so I didn’t know much about electric and my hot water stopped coming out plus the previous owner didn’t leave me a manual.
This was such a quick fix.
The only thing I would add is that you might have to wait up to an hour before the hot water kicks in depending on how many gallon tank you have

Thanks! You saved me a service call. I drained the hot water heater to do some plumbing repairs and apparently didn't let it fill up all the way before turning the power back on. It tripped the breaker in the main breaker box and fortunately didn't burn up the heating element.
