-excessive salivation
-agitation
-difficulty swallowing
-anxiety
-fever
-hallucinations


Common animals to have rabies: skunks, cattle, foxes, bats, coyotes, etc

If you don’t know, the reason you foam when you have rabies is because you develop a fear of water which makes it harder to swallow

Stage 1: 2-10 days
Common symptoms:
-fatigue
-headache
-fever
-pain or itchiness in the site of bite

Stage 2: 2-7 days included more severe symptoms
Such as:
-agitation
-hallucinations
-muscle spasms and convulsions could occur
- hyperactivity
-confusion
-hydrophobia(fear of water)


*stage 3:* 2-3 weeks after stage 2

-go into a coma

And finally rabies can be transmitted through

Fun fact you don't even need to be bitten to get rabies if an infected animal's saliva touches your mouth, eyes or nose you can get infected
Rabies is the scariest disease in my opinion which makes my username quite ironic XD

Weird facts:
1. The rabies virus uses you're bodies neuron system to travel to the brain
2. The time it takes for the infection to spread to the brain depends on viral load and location of bites.
3. There was a man in China who died from Rabies without ever getting bit. The man aquired rabies after sucking on his sons wounds and spitting out the blood. Later at the hospital the son received a vaccine while his dad refused over cost of care. 1 month later his son was fine, while his dad became infected and died.
4. If you're ever bit by an animal it's best to just run cold water over the wound, clean it with soap and water, then cover it with a bandaid or sterilized sheet before you visit the hospital.
5. It's speculated that Edgar Allen Poe died from Rabies. I never heard that theory until now.

Fun fact about rabies: around 1, 000 years ago, in Eastern Europe, especially Bulgaria, people used to believe In vampires! But if you do enough research you’ll find that people who were found out as “vampires” actually had symptoms of Rabies! Biting, foaming at the mouth, aggressive behavior, insomnia and wandering, etc!
