Imagine being so screwed that you actually WANT to go back to North Korea. Those guys should take their chance and defect.

Kim doesn’t expect or want his soldiers to return. Can you imagine the headache that they would be if they returned to Korea after having a taste of freedom? Kim would be terrified to have thousands of soldiers returning with a real vision of what freedom means.

Ive never seen a war in my life where the opposing side feels so sorry for the soldiers of their enemies they actually create a system to 'save them' and offer them a better life as their captive. It just goes to show how utterly messed up these countries are and how little they regard human life. Even their own enemy will treat them better and even offer to.

I hate the North Korean regime, but I do feel bad for the North Korean soldiers. They're screwed.

It's almost as if marching in formation in front of Dear Leader for 70 years wasn't good training for war...

None of these NK soldiers will be returning to NK if they survive Ukraine because of reasons outlined exactly in this video. They know way to much now.

Bonus - the NorK soldiers have been fed a diet for decades that they are the bestest military force in the whole world, then they get to Kursk and find out the hard way they are nothing.

When news first came out of the North Koreans going to Russia, my friend was talking to me about it and saying “This is big, it’s turning into a world war.”
I told her that 10, 000 North Koreans are nowhere near enough to make any difference, and furthermore, they have zero experience in modern combat and are not part of a strategy/tactics sharing alliance like NATO, and only have the Chinese(equally inexperienced) for advisors on strategy and tactics. I also told her, the fact that the Russians needed to ask the completely unprepared and inexperienced North Koreans for 10, 000 men, is a sign of their desperation.
I feel justified in that point of view.

Asking North Korea for help is like asking a homeless man for a dollar

North Korean troops: "So komrade, when do we practice for the parade march? Our spacing & overall pacing needs some fine tuning, "

As they realize that they are ill equipped physically and mentally to handle real battle situations without knowing the language as well, their moral and courage will melt away. No wonder they’re deserting in droves. 😢

NK soldiers have seen too much of the world. They can never go back, Kim can't afford them talking about what they have seen. Cell phones, and decent rations would be enough but a NK soldier telling his fellows that their army is trash when facing a modern army is too demoralizing for Kim to allow.

Doesn't seem likely NK will allow any of their soldiers back once they've seen so much of the outside world

Do you think they're realizing they arent "the strongest" like they've been told Daily in North Korea?

“A fate you wouldn’t wish upon your worst enemies “ … except Kim and regime do this to their own; gross

I feel genuinely sorry for these poor guys, sent to die just because they were unfortunate enough to be born in North Korea under the Kim regime

As a Combat Engineer, I can attest that not knowing the difference between Det cord, time fuse and shock tube due to a language barrier might ruin both the trainer and trainee's day!!

I have been in combat. I hate seeing any of these youngsters, Ukranian, Russian, Chinese or NK dying or being maimed. War is an awful business. The NK kids don't have a chance and probably will never go home because of what they learn. Sad.
