See how honest Tharoor was in the interview. He didn't brag about his victory and admitted it was a close fight!

MR Shashi Tharoor is one of the very few intellectuals of secular India. We wish him the best of health and long life to serve the people of India and world.

Despite my opposing ideology I have mad respect for Mr. Sashi Tharoor. He is a gentleman through and through. The nation can use more politicians like him. Congratulations on your victory.

Very dignified Shashi Tharoor shows us what politicians should be. He never attacked anybody, spoke well of his opponents and even the lone BJP winner, Suresh Gopi. We need educated people like him in parliament.

Sashi Tharoor Ji, Thank you for being gracious in your victory. Very few politicians admit to the challenge they face from other candidates and the toughness. Wish you the best.

This man deserves credit: he won 🥇 four elections without resorting to religious politics, a testament to the power of education.

I wish you all the very best.

Tharoor, is such a sport to so gracefully acknowledge his opponents. Magnanimous n honest. He's not that arrogant and haughty politician who behave bigger than their shoes. To borrow from his repertory, he's not a snollygoster( unprincipled politician)

I'm surprised that Vir didn't read between the lines when Shashi said that this may be his last Lok Sabha election. There have been whispers that Dr. Tharoor has his eyes set on serving as the CM of Kerala. It'll be interesting to see how the Congress tries to engineer this.

Dr. Shashi Taroor, Congratulations! The win was essential.
But remember, the so called elite classes of Trivandrum abandoned you and your saviour was the fishermen community. Three cheers to them! Probably they bore the maximum brunt of the Modi government.

Kerala is the only state where all religions and non-religious people wait for each others religious celebrations. Such good food, fun and camaraderie!

It's got nothing to do with the substance but I can listen to them conversing the whole day just for the language. Both are so well spoken it's strangely quite soothing which cannot be said about a political interview.

Congratulations Mr Tharoor ji, another win; one of the best politicians of India; make the people of your State and that of India better and happier.

If he decides for becoming PM of India in the future, my vote will go to him.
