How to avoid being scammed on eBay when buying gold and silver bullion. My personal experiences buying on eBay. eBay can be a lucrative place to buy your silver and gold bullion if you look for these things. How to avoid buying counterfeit coins and fakes. Never buy things listed as Tibetan Silver, German Silver, or Antique Silver. Only buy things listed as "Art Bars" from reputable companies such as the ones listed below!

Most gold bars sold on ebay are fake unless they are from reputable dealers like APMEX, BPM, MCM, ScottsdaleSilver. This is the current big scam going on ebay especially with fake Perth Mint, Pamp Suisse, and even fake APMEX 1 oz gold bars from sellers with little feedback.

I guess it also helps if the buyer on eBay has good solid reviews. Am I right. I've never fought silver on eBay because I've been kind of paranoid that I might get ripped off. I work too hard for my money to have some sucker try and put one over on me

I would recommend using sniping software to do last second bidding. I've been using isnipe.io for a couple of months now and love it so far. Don't need to be online during the auction or track all the items I want to get. Just linking them to the system and collecting whatever I was able to get for my max bids.

APMEX, at least as of now, is extremely more expensive to buy from on Ebay than from their website.

Starting this year. The IRS will require sellers to report any and all sells over $600 using the appropriate tax for, fyi. Just looked it means all gold sells except for .25 of an ounce or smaller. So then, if you were looking to use ebay to avoid capital gains tax, forget about it.

i always find ebay to be more expensive because of shipping, and often the price is higher on silver itself also. compared to the site i usually buy at, directly from the mint.
