Saw the book of Ivy in your hands and was like “nope, you’re gonna hate it!” Didn’t expect it to be at page 2 though! 😂

This was fun! I would love to see you do more like this, because I also love throwing a book into the DNF pile after a chapter. Life is too short for bad books!

'Graceling' was a book I read all in one day back in my YA heyday and then I reread last year and it was still 5 Stars, so I'm glad you might try that one!

Even though I read Graceling as an adult, I really liked it and the rest of the series.

This was really fun to watch! I really enjoyed Graceling and An Enchantment of Ravens so I’m glad those haven’t been unhauled (yet) 😆.

Graveling gave me so much nostalgia! I remember it having one of the healthiest relationships in a YA book I had ever read. Respectable, especially in the 2010’s.

yes i like these videos! enchantment of ravens could be a hit or miss if you do decide to read it but just wanna say it's not at all like acotar - the fae are more "historically" accurate which makes it all way more interesting.

I love this. I think one gotta make space for new things in their library especially when you get older and no longer into specific genre

You should absolutely make more videos like this one, I loved it!

Keeping in mind I read these ages ago, Graceling is pretty good, but I feel like the following books (Bitterblue and Fire) are better? The Scorpio Races audiobook is well done, if you were at all interested in the story - one of my faves, and I usually don't like audiobooks at all.

This is a fun idea, please do more. I enjoyed it c:

I adored The Scorpio Races but I'm not surprised you DNF'd. It does have a drier writing style and it's fairly slow-paced. I am, however, a Certified Horse Girl and I felt like a lot of my enjoyment came from reading a book that had a big piece of it centered in the horse/rider bond. So if you don't have that for the author to pull on it probably wouldn't grab you super well.

I like this idea for a series. Read the first chapter of a few books when unsure of which one to pick is pretty smart. I should do this with books from my own library.

I liked An Enchantment of Ravens, it's just a pretty chill book as I remember it. The author also has a book about an autistic nun who fights demons and priests so that's pretty neat haha. But I love this idea, I might need to try it out, I have so many books I'm afraid I'll never get around to

I am so with you with the strange descriptions of scents 😆

This is such a fun video idea, I hope you do more! Also I couldn't help but laugh when you described why you dnf'd The Scorpio Races, because I love Maggie Stiefvater's writing and never would have thought someone would describe it as dry 😂 Goes to show just how differently two people can experience the same book, even the more "objective" aspects of it.

I love this video idea, I saw three dark crowns on your bookshelf. That's my favourite series of all time!

I agree with you—the reason I don’t read more fantasy books is because I don’t want to commit to a long series. I want more standalone fantasy!
