Ulduar Lockout Trick - Reuse One Lockout for Mimiron's Head Farming!

UPDATE: This method is officially broken. It was good while it lasted. Ulduar lockout sharing! Showing you step by step how to share a single Ulduar lockout with your own alts to speed up farming Mimiron's Head. This Ulduar Lockout Trick allows you to kill Yogg-Saron many times on different characters without needing to re-clear the entire raid. This Ulduar lockout sharing method works as of July 2019 and I've been using it to farm for Mimiron's Head (no luck yet!) on my own mount run streams.

To prepare, run one character through Ulduar up to but not including Yogg-Saron. Take any level 100+ alts that you'd like to use to farm Mimiron's Head out to the Bouldercrag Refuge of Storm Peaks and set their hearth there and park them.

At the start of the week, extend the raid lockout on your lockout holding alt (or reactivate it if you forgot and let it slip! no need to reclear). Press O for Social, Raid tab at the bottom, Raid info button on the top right, select your Ulduar lockout and extend or reactivate. This only needs to happen once per week.

Step 1) On the lockout alt, create the group.
Step 2) Switch to the mount run character and apply.
Step 3) Switch to the lockout alt and accept.
Step 4) Switch to the mount run character, OK the acceptance to join the group, then fly to UIduar and zone in before lead passes over.
Step 5) Defeat Yogg, loot the chest, then hearth out and leave the group. Rinse and repeat.

Just started using this method 1.5 weeks ago. Before watching this vid I'd just run the whole raid with each individual character. After 12ish years, Mim's Head dropped for me this morning on my very last run for the week. Thank you Hazel.

Thank you, this helped me cut some chunk of time for heroic SoO Tusk farm! Also I just had my 3rd Juggernaut drop on the same toon on mythic. Hope that luck goes out there for those farming the mount.

No need to run to Mimiron, you can teleport there after you kill the cat boss never using the train.

There's also a flight point in Ulduar. No mailbox or vendors that I recall, but vendor mammoth is pretty cheap if you need to sell, and you can mount in the outside areas of Ulduar if you're worried about missing the lead pass from your lockout holder. A full clear will fill your bags pretty quick and net you some pets that can be auctioned as well as purples to vendor/DE. Once inside the chamber you can only mount in Freya's wing so I generally sell after XT then do the other bosses saving Freya for last and vendor again there before hitting the Descent part.

This method still very much works, just did the lockout on one toon, ran it on another. My lockout toon still has Yogg open on their lockout as well.

In case people are wondering, this does not work with dragon soul, for some reason this raid is special and doesn't let you do it on more than 1 alt, the next alt will enter a fully cleared raid, even though your first character doesn't have that lockout

1:02 excuse me there, I think you forget something, you have the possibility to teleport in front of mimiron via teleport pads right after defeating the 3 other wings. It spares the subway even though it's enjoyable ^^

I remember getting my mount after finishing the Lucid Nightmare puzzle, I decided to go with it and just finish the raid while I’m there. Never went back to Ulduar since ;)

Funny story, I got the Flametalon mount from Firelands and then about 20ish minutes later got Mimiron's head on a alt! That'll NEVER happen again. And it was only the 10-12th time I had farmed for the gnome head helicopter, the second run for that alt in particular. RNG gods smiled on me that day! :D

I used this years ago to get Invincible. I actually got Mimirons Head during a transmog run when you could still also get decent gold from old raids. Transmog was not out yet but we had heard it was coming so we were stocking up.
