The Mother of Israeli-American hostage, Hersh Goldberg-Polin, shares emotional remarks at his funeral. Hersh Goldberg-Polin was one of six hostages captured during Hamas’ October 7th attack. Polin was held in Gaza for 11 months. Israel Defense Forces found his body in a tunnel in the southern Gaza strip.
President Biden said he was "devastated and outraged by the death of 23-year-old Polin. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "together with all citizens of Israel, I was outraged to the depths of my soul by the horrific, cold-blooded murder of six of our hostages."
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement on X, "Hersh Goldberg-Polin is an American hero who will be remembered for his kindness and selflessness. Our hearts break for Jon, Rachel, and their entire family, as well as the other families who found out today their loved ones won’t be coming home. May their memory be a blessing."
