This is the case for DEVGRU, but not so much for Delta, they don't really give a shit where you come from, they don't exactly care what your training and experience is, they just want the best. Tom Satterly was recruited into Delta during SF selection. You just have to be the kind of person they're looking for. They can train you how to do anything, so prior experience and training is irrelevant.

Everybody thinks Delta Force and other special Ops units are easy to get into. I was happy where I was, the seals are crazy. I have great respect for those units.

Seals have lost honor in my eyes. Drugs, Murder, selling tactics for fame, ect...and tons accusations over the GWOT tarnished their reputation. Ive always had most respect for Delta and GBs. Really? That wasn’t seal team 6 commanders pounding on my door at 4:30am yelling open up it’s the police? I thought they had a police escort I mean I knew I was popular, but I was so beat man we were up all night smoking and playing call of duty I figure they’ll be back, I knew I had what it takes, I’m sure delta will be here next fighting over me. I’ll have to make a list of demands if I’m going to do this.
