with Katrin Böhning-Gaese (Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research), Lena Thiele (Miiqo Studios), Tom Kortbeek (Filip Studios), Florain Rödiger (Campus di Monaco), Sabine Hansky (Munich Urban Colab) and Sarah Dorkenwald (Hochschule München University for Applied Sciences)

This DLD Nature Deep Dive session highlights the power of art and design to
evoke wonder, create emotional connections, and inspire action towards
biodiversity conservation.

You’ll hear how collaborating with scientists and leveraging innovative
technologies, artists can develop immersive experiences that communicate the
beauty and complexity of nature.

Lena Thiele presents her project “Myriad” about animal migration, combines a
360-degree 3D documentary, VR experience and immersive installation to tell the
story of migrating animals from the animal perspective.

Tom Kortbeek’s project “Arabidopsis Symphony” turns the dynamic life of the
Arabidopsis plant into an augmented reality experience.

Watch the video for more insights about positive scenarios for biodiversity,
creating an emotional connection to nature through art, and scaling impact.
