I feel like it could also be banned cause they didn't really land the flip cause you know if you are a gymnast and you don't land something or don't stick you will always to a forward roll lol

It was really banned bcuz many gymnasts both male and females took a stand against it bcuz of what happened to Elena Mukhina. It should've been banned the day she was paralyzed from the neck down from trying to perform it during practice!

I'm not a huge fan of flips into rolls because I like watching the precise landing on the feet.

Don’t get me wrong - roll outs are cool AF skills but even just training them is dangerous. I wouldn’t be sad to see them delegated to the history books.

My dad used to do a skill like this when he did gymnastics. Idk exactly what skill he did, but he did a forward roll out of a flip

K, us gymnasts need to understand that not every rollout skill with a flip is a “Thomas salto”. What Jonathan and Sam did was not a Thomas salto. It is missing an entire 1/2 twist. They entered from the forward position while the Thomas salto is a back entry.
