It's a great tool!  I was able to "rescue" my Hornady 444 Marlin Die that I'd stuck a case in several years ago.  Well done, gentlemen!!

Don't forget to back the decapping rod out as far as possible before drilling. It won't come out all the way, because the expander button won't pull through the neck while the case is still in the die.

Yeah what how you are skipping the problem of getting the decapping pin out of the way? And on a rcbs xdie this is even harder..

How do you get the expander ball out??

This is all well and good if you are sizing without the decapping pin in (can’t think why this might be though). Decapping pin is in the way. Do I have to drill and destroy the decapping pin? This is a bad design.

What is the best method to remove a LIVE Military Primer prior to stuck case removal?

Steps so far: Froze the die x2 for 10 hrs let defrost at room temp 77 dgrs.
Mobile 1 oil down the neck of the stuck case. The decapper tip broke and is in the case. Research= no way to truly deactivate primer. Military primmer is crimped and sealed with plastic. One forum recommend to grind a metal hanger to fit the flash hole and tap out. :{ any suggestions on how to do this safely?

What does one do if that strips out? Seen a few on fb groups and answers from contact the seller to trash it.

This method and the removal kit would be wonderful; except in my case the decapping pin is sticking out through the primer pocket about a 1/4" and it is not moving, at least it does not appear to. I did not try to remove the sizing ball/decapping pin assembly yet anyway. Therefore the drilling/tapping method would not work? I would be grateful for any advice from anybody out there. Is my case a "just buy a new die"?
