To walk into Deseret Book as a preteen and get my name embossed in gold on the front cover of my quad was so memorable; I still have it. I don't go by that name anymore. I don't show up for that church any longer. I do like to occasional peek at the stoopid post-it notes I drew & wrote in seminary (and any other time I was bored sitting with my quad)

Hey, I got the same Book of Mormon than you have, the "another history of Jesus" new version, but in french. It was given to me by two LDS missionaries here and I use it every day to keep my computer monitor at the same level as the two other ones.

I got a quad for my baptism and it ended up falling apart (like the cover coming off and some pages falling out) the only reason I still want to try to find and keep it is because it was a gift from my grandparents and it had a note in it from when they first gave it to me.

Wow, Alyssa wasn’t kidding when, in her last video, she said the phrase “And it came to pass” was overused in the Book of Mormon! I counted seven of them in just the two random pages she showed in this short! 😂

I read the BoM and the first sign that it was fake was that it was written in King James English despite the fact that that’s not how people spoke when it was written.

I wonder if LDS changed anything in the Bible like King James did. The Bible has always been re-written to further one’s personal views of religion.

They still do this. I have encountered missionaries before and if historic Christianity is true, then by Joseph Smith’s own admission about the “great apostasy, ” then Mormonism is false. Both can be false but both cannot be true if you believe in the law of noncontradiction.
