I bought a bulb auger attachment for my drill and I use it when I go to the beach. I use it to drill a hole in the sand for my beach umbrella. I am able to drill a sufficiently deep hole for my umbrella so that it stays put even in strong winds. I got the idea at the beach one year when I observed the attendant responsible for setting up all of the rental beach chairs and umbrellas each morning. He went up and down the beach with his drill and drilled a hole for dozens of umbrellas. They all stayed in place even in high winds. I got one from Amazon and in subsequent trips to the beach, I almost never have to worry about my umbrella blowing away. If you use an umbrella at the beach, that attachment is definitely one worth having. Great video!!

I have been in the field for 24 years now. Only in the last year have I discovered the scrubber attachments. An absolute life-changer. I've probably got a set of 20, all different Styles, abrasiveness, sizes, shapes. What used to take an hour of scrubbing now is a 10-minute job I even use the soft bristle 1 as a feather duster. They really are amazing.

I think you really could have swapped something out of the list For the shear attachments, that and it's counterpart the nibbler. These are worth their weight in gold!

LOL I use a rounded Toilet Brush as a scrubber, Just snip off the end of the handle and chuck it up in the drill. It works great to clean out the burn pot of my pellet stove.
Thanks for your Tips, keep em coming.

That drill stand looks to be a great improvement over the one I inherited (sorry dad).
Great video. Although I'm a bit leary of using an auger on a drill. Seems like there is potential to damage the drill.

Would a 'regular' auger bit for wood drill out small weed roots to prevent damage to a lawnmower blade?

You can use the drill stand or block to drill in to a wall as well which a drill press definitely can't do

Red Clay ain’t no joke. We have the same in central Arkansas. It’s like concrete when it is dry and so slimy and sticky when wet!

North of Atlanta checking in - clay + granite all over the place. Can confirm this will twist the drill out of your hands if you're not careful.

Auger: When I saw it.. I was like.. that's garbage.. a cordless drill isn't going to power that... till you used it.. I'm impressed, I really didn't think it would work!
