God, please! I really hope you're successful with this game. I would definitely pay for it! It looks freaking beautiful and I absolutely love cooking and open-world games, so this is literally what I am looking for!!!! Subscribed!

I really appreciate the attention you give to realism that might not necessarily be needed in a fantasy world. I've found myself wondering where the people poop within the world of a game I'm playing far more often than I'd like to admit. Even if they're just decorative, seeing facilities that you'd expect to see really helps immersion and adds so much more life to an area.

I always find pixel art games gorgeous. I'm not sure why, but they are looking more cozy than games with realistic art style.

Also if you ever feel the need of a thunderstorm, I would think of adding wind effects such as slanted rainfalls or hustling wind when you stay indoor. If it's happening at night, an almost pitch dark setting with flashes of light from the lightning would make the weather even more atmospheric (almost like thunderstorm in Terraria).

Suggesting this since I love the vibes and comfort I get from a thunderstorm.

As a huge Stardew Valley Fan I would love to buy your game when it officially releases. Great work!

One thing that could be awesome is giving the bathroom's ceilling some kind of liveliness : imagine the wood branches moving as you move the camera (to try to respect the perspectives) ;)

This type of creative development is what makes great games great. I think pulling real world inspiration into your game gives it a powerful layer of depth. So many devs or creatives cite work in their own specific field as their inspiration but the best always pull from all the mediums life has to offer and then condense that into their craft.

I love that, on top of immersive and well-thought out environments - we also get charming, stylistic character portraits that ooze personality! Makes me really excited on what more the writing and narrative *could bring to the table* (get it).

I wish you best of luck and success!

When you put the overlays over the wood flooring, it reminded me of the game octopath traveler! They mix pixel art and overlays and it just so eye-catching and attractive. Definitely makes the art pop much more than it's original form

This entertains and at the same time teaches me on prep. and designing my architectural plates. Thank you!

Yesss, first time seeing the title and thumbnail...spirited away vibes ❤️❤️❤️

Love your art style. Much better than I've seen with anything else. I didn't realize how useful being an architect could be for game development. Makes sense in hindsight.

Dude this is gold... I'm not even far in and I've already saved this video and I'm stopping to comment. When making games, there are so many random things from other fields you can benefit from... you HAVE to know just how useful this is to look through the perspective of someone who knows architecture, right?! Ah, and then seeing you messing with the rectangles in 3D showing us HOW you do this step by step. Chef's kiss.

Now I'm trying to think of games that don't have SOME type of building, thinking how many situations in a game involves you being in a room of some kind, how the layout of rooms in relation to each other just "makes sense" in certain games and how this relates to the function you are talking about (so now you can break down games you like and know WHY you like it), how that makes it much easier to create memorable locations and how thinking in this way is a huge asset for creating memorable locations, when you mention history how that impacts world building AND helps to make memorable locations, how it can be used to help create a narrative (and anything narrative added that isn't text is almost always a win), etc.

THAT'S the kind of shit... an approach, a mindset, and armed with a few "best practices" tips that can save you time and end up with a better product to boot, and the less you know of or have thought of it the more you have to gain and very quickly (newbie gains for games).

I subbed for a pixel art video obviously I backed the right horse.

OMG this looks beautiful, I'm so happy for your progress and soooo excited to actually play it. I've been trying to make a webcomic for like 2 years now and I just never finished a whole episode bc I was so unhappy with my art, but since I found your channel I got inspired to try pixel art, cause I always loved it so now I'll give it a shot. Your tutorials are also really good thanks for the amazing content and I wish all the success <3

I sincerely LOVE how you explain the design and how you relate to real-world designs and relate to what you studied and how school exercises reflect your current work.
ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!!

Just wanted to say thank you for making this video. Even just having the lexicon to talk about architecture in these terms is amazing and very helpful for reapproaching a design process for architecture in pixel art.

oh my god this is beautiful… i’m an architecture major at a university and you remind me of one of my old professors i had last year! i specialize in autoCAD and i built a replica of howl’s moving castle in AutoCAD and I brought it over to inventorCAD and 3D printed several parts of it. This video gave me so much serotonin and i love your work! you’re a huge inspiration to a lot of my friend in my major as well as others! please keep up the amazing work and stay motivated! u got this!

Just wonderful, your videos should be basic lectures for game designers. I work on a little game myself and I learn tons of stuff just from listening to you. Thanks so much for sharing. If you kickstarter goes online I will help share it a lot.
