What did you learn from The Tinder Swindler on Netflix (if you've seen it)? Please share below 😀

Love this so much. That programme shook me lol. What struck me is how each woman allowed her feelings to get the better of her boundaries - which is a key thing not to do in money management! Would love your review of another great money-focused Netflix show - the Smart Money Woman, and possibly also Maid (on financial independence after a tough relationship)

Fantastic talking points here. I like how grown up this video is. There's no victim blaming just honest discussion on how we can learn from some of life's challenges 👏

I definitely learnt a lot from this video! thank you so much! As a young girl we are sold this ridiculous fairytale of a prince coming to save us and this narrative puts a lot us young girls in terrible situations. God will help us make better judgements. one of my main take aways is, it is good to build wealth with someone rather waiting for prince charming!

That last point is so true. When I find it difficult to share something with a close friend, it's probably because I know they'll tell me it's a bad idea... and I'd probably agree with them.

Definitely agreed with Mary ... on the older I get the more important Financial stability is to me. Not the glits and glam though. That for me at my age would be a red flag. I've personally grown to be suspicious of anyone who shows off their wealth. Clean money typically moves different in my opinion.

To be fair to the ladies though, I can relate to *confusion ensuing when you date without being in a personal healthy space and without a healthy support system to help with red flags background checks ... no matter how old you are.

I loved this documentary. Actually felt so hurt for these women. Especially the first one. She really thought he was the one. Despite her emotions she was brave enough to expose him to the media

The delusion in women especially who want unrealistic expectation, I once met a lady with 4 children from 4 different fathers still believing in the superficial single guy with loads of money to come look after her and other men's children to sweep her off her feet, Honestly telling them the truth is like drinking bleach.

I don’t think there is a full package. There is always something someone is lacking. You need to decide on what you can compromise on. Also ask yourself are you the full package before setting the bar so high for a partner. The girls in the documentary were a bit innocent. Also they were not financially switched on… who takes out a loan like this. I also believe someone who is this rich wouldn’t be showing off like this.

I felt so sorry for those poor women, and the fact the man is roaming free to target other women to this day. But you’re right, don’t borrow money for a boyfriend/girlfriend. Women need to be their own saviours, this is the narrative that should be played in Disney fairytales. When you’re strong on your own, you can then become a power couple together (if/when you meet your one).

Beautifully said! I think sometimes a 'Man with potential' is confused with a 'Man talking big dreams'. That's why older women don't want to deal with 'potential'.

Potential should means a person working towards their dreams.
Talk + action = potential.

I've made the mistake giving a lot money to a boyfriend. When I look back I can't believe I was that woman.🤦🏿‍♀️

When looking for a partner do not chase something in someone that you are not yourself.
E.g - don't be superficial and only want a guy with money, when you yourself do not have these riches.
Nothing wrong with aiming high, but there is a fine line between aiming high and just been highly superficial.
P.s - Been watching alot of your videos over the few months and I love them. Not heavily into investment, but a holistic view on money! I am signed up to your 52 week email program 😀

11.30 they did not bring him down. 5 months in jail for $10 million. Not bad.

The first woman is back on Tinder for hookups. Lesson never learned.

11.00 honeypotting is the correct term but is was reversed on them .

It was women subsidizing other women's dreams, fantasies, lavish lifestyles. He just took some for himself. Where did the money go? Clothes, travel, hotels, food, private jets, yachts. The women did get that experience. No difference than a casino.

I'm still 50/50 on the situation. On one hand I'm like these are grown ladies and they met up dude they barely knew on tinder and gave him all this money. They were willing to participants. On the other hand I know how love gets. And sometimes we don't all make the best decisions. Not to mention it just wasn't one or two people he scammed a lot of people. He's just an evil person.

I watched this a couple days ago too. I like your breakdown of the situation...all valid points whether you've watched it or not. Also Ken's singing 😂😂
Why on earth is a billionaires son asking these women for money? That is where things should have fallen down but .. he sure did a number on them.
