In September ‘72 my mother and I were flying on a Twin Beech (11 seater) across Great Slave Lake when one engine failed. We were very happy it had another. In November that same plane crashed while being flown on a famous medevac mission out of Cambridge Bay. The pilot Marten Hartwell was the sole survivor, found with broken leg, after 31 days. He had to make some difficult decisions to survive, if you take my meaning.
