Brian May is such a badass guitarist he build his own electric guitar when he was 15 years old, and that guitar turned out so good that it's the same he uses to this day, and you can now by replicas of his guitar (Red Special)

My favorite guitarist is dependant on what genre we're talking, if we're talkong classic progressive rock i would say Alex Lifeson because Rush holds a significant place in my heart, if we're talking punk it's El Hefe from Nofx for obvious reasons, for metal id go with Dimebag Darrel or Dave Mustain
