3:47 Exactly why he is my favorite, despite not “showing off” in the way that most others do. I think his humble nature as a person reflected in his guitar playing as well. He didn’t want the listener to notice how skilled he was; he wanted the listener to feel the emotions that his music could convey for itself without an over-abundance of embellishments. His unique slide guitar melodies in his post-Beatles discography also take more technique than people give him credit for!
