Please do PMJ's "All About the Bass" with Morgan, Haley and Ariana Savalas (Telly's daughter). Everything done by Morgan (with or without PMJ) is Awesome!!!

10:49 "Keep the recommendations coming from these guys. Umm, what do you guys think I should watch next?" Well, I'm glad you asked. I've been a BIG fan of Morgan for a few years now. Absolutely LOVE her!!!

Morgan studied opera at Julliard (her classical training is why she has those big pipes) and has played on Broadway. She has her own band and is married to the guitar player, Doug Wamble. She also is an indy under Hedonist Records LLC. If I may suggest, check these songs from Morgan out as well. There are so many but I'll mainly list the collaborations with PMJ.

Postmodern Jukebox/Morgan James covers:
Dream On, Aerosmith - I included this only so that your viewers can go to the original video and appreciate it even more. The first time I heard this cover I just couldn't get Steven Tyler's voice out of my head. It wasn't until I listened for the third time that I could truly appreciate Morgan's cover.

All About That Bass, Meghan Trainor. This is where I first discovered Morgan James.

Maps, Maroon 5 - I'll be honest here. I hadn't heard Maroon 5's Maps before I listened to Morgan's cover of it. IMO, Morgan does it so much better!

Take Me to Church, Hozier - Wow, breathtaking. Enough said.

Who Wants to Live Forever, Queen - This should be the next James Bond theme song.

Other covers by Morgan:
Call My Name, Prince - Prince rarely gives permission to record his songs but within 5 minutes of hearing Morgan's cover, he said yes.

Ain't No Way, Aretha Franklin - Sung live. Morgan holds a note for an amazing 24 seconds @ 1:42 into the video. I get frisson every time I hear it!

And just for the fun of it, here's one that I recorded the first time I saw her live in concert at The Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis, MN doing her title track Reckless Abandon

So yeah, I'm a Morgan fan. Big time.

When you can, SEE THEM LIVE! It is an incredible show.

They have both male and female singers, in fact, Wayne Brady from 'The Price is Right' and 'Who's Line Is It Anyway' has sang a couple of times with them. Morgan James is an incredibly talented singer. She was mentored by Barry Gordy and hand-picked by him to portray Teena Marie in 'Motown: The Musical'. Her and PMJ do a '70's soul version of Maroon 5's 'Maps' that is really good as well. She also has some videos of her own that are worth checking out.

Seen them a couple times, different singers than the Vids, but was a cool show both times. Definitely going to see them again.

With out a doubt, you have to react to Morgan James and PMJ doing Maps
then you can start to get into her other stuff. If the idea of her and a guy playing acoustic guitar sounds good, she has a bunch of great videos, you really can't go wrong with her

You were close on the bass solo. It was actually the cello :-)
You also caught the violin & viola (I thought it was 2 violins, but as the credits note... violin+viola). Good on ya! :-)

Live performances - I regret I didn't go when they were here :-(. They have a number of their artists performing - the roster varies depending on the tour. The performers do both songs they've done on the videos, and songs that other artists have done for PMJ. There are several videos on youtube of their live performances.

Enjoyed the review. Subscribed. As others said, Morgan James singing Maps, Dear Prudence (singing with Haley), Take Me To Church are all excellent. Maps has a very good professional video, but if you want to see how incredible her voice is live watch POSTMODERN JUKEBOX feat. MORGAN JAMES "Maps" NYC 5.12 2015. It's an amateur video but good quality. She hits a note that tears the roof off.

First, I couldn't disagree with you more on "Creep". I think Haley is phenomenal in her own right, but there's a couple of things to note. "Creep" was done in one take, as it was the third, and final video shot that day. Scott had to convince her to give it one shot, because she very tired. Additionally, a beautifully nuanced aspect of it's arrangement, is the fact that they loosened the snare drum all the way out for period authenticity. Of course, her breathing gymnastics were off the hook. Now, Morgan is just a little sweetie that's dedicated to her craft. She absolutely refuses to be tuned, at any point of production. She's a classically trained opera singer, but has extensive training and experience in multiple genres, including musical theater. If you go to there website, you'll find there 2021 US tour dates, and also there 2022 European tour dates.✌

it's time for you to check out the European Tour Version of All About That Bass and their version of Mad World with Puddles Pity Party and Haley Rinehart and their "Umbrella" with Casey Abrams

The best worst or worst best, imo, is Wayne Brady doing a jazz version of Thriller.
Also, check out their version of All About That Bass with Haley, Morgan, and another woman plus Casey Abrams.

Among the best composition you can check Halo from Beyonce and careless whispers from Wham

Just like 90% of the ppl reacting to this you get the solo wrong it was not the Bass, it is so clear it is Artyom on Cello ...

How was the juice? The distraction could have made it harder for you to notice the cello solo. I think music and musicians deserve a little more appreciation and respect than your reaction reflects. Maybe try to concentrate in your next one.
