Why didn’t God just decide to just go down here and make there thoughts more calm and Benign cause from what I’m hearing it sounded like God wanted to catch body’s and if they only just thought bad stuff and didn’t do them it seemed more like intrusive thoughts

1- If this really happened I don't think all of the people were "evil". Also what about the plants and the animals?
2- Killing people because they were evil it's the same thing of a shooter killing a whole school because he didn't like anyone.
