When a wife shows little appreciation, the husband will only do enough for that measure.
When a wife shows more interest in everything else than her husband, he will go subtly silent.

This is so true. I was stuck in a toxic relationship for a year. She disrespected, demasculated, underappreciated, and made a fool out of me. I slowly saw myself turn turn from a thick skinned and well tempered man into a short tempered, angry, and depressed man. Most of the time I was living just to get to the next day. It wasn't until I realized the only person that was keeping me in my situation. Was me and only me. That I made my escape from her. Don't ever let anyone get you to be someone who is not you. Anyone who does doesn’t deserve your time or money.
