Airbag Backpack for Motorcycles – Helite H-MOOV Cordless Electric Backpack with CO2 Protection

Motorcycling is dangerous. But you can make it both less dangerous and more convenient with the Helite H-MOOV airbag backpack. This one looks a whole lot cooler than the high-vis Turtle 2 vest you usually see me with, so aside from the $1000 price tag, what's your excuse? Maybe the silly name? H MOOV, H Move, whatever you call it, the Helite backpack is a great motorcycle airbag option. And this one is an electronic airbag.

Especially when you can get 10% off with the code "dailymotor"!

It’s a life jacket for a moto. Thanks for the awesome review 😊😊😊😊😊

Good, informative video running through the features in a straightforward manner. There is some inaccuracy in information, however, in that the H-MOOV does not provide the same protection coverage as the Turtle. The Turtle inflates around the side to protect a rider's sides - this is clearly visible in your own inflation demonstration - and the H-MOOV, due to the nature of the shoulder straps, does not inflate to provide side protection.

Outstanding review! Thanks for doing this. I’m getting ready to buy my first airbag system and this helps a ton.

If it offered the same protection as the Turtle 2 its a no brainer. Maybe the Turtle 3 could have a detachable backpack option.
I dont like that it doesn't restrict the head and that it doesn't have side protection for the hips. Also that there's no high viz option

Thanks for the review. I really like the coverage from the airbag vests though.

You didn’t mention the real important piece of information regarding this airbag/backpack.
To me it’s way more important to know how this backpack deploys in a case of crash. Via GPS or anything else ? What’s gonna happen if there is no GPS signal? Should I have to fold it after activation and how? How long battery last? Can I replace the canister myself after activation? can I ride off-road with it or it is strictly for street use?

I feel like a lot of my bags have a waste strap. It's ashame this bag doesn't have that so it can have the hip and side protection that the turtle 2 has.

The tethered version is better for off road to avoid spurious activation. It´s a great product but I´m sceptical that one size fits all especially when you consider that the Turtle 2 has 5 sizes to cover the anthromorphogical range

I still use the original vest, never ride without it.

No rib protection, no shoulder protection. NO GO!
The back, neck & chest protection is top notch and the ease & cost of using co2 & ability to replace it yourself is huge no rid or shoulder protection means only ALPINESTARS has complete coverage. Not Dainese, not inmotion etc. If I am spending $700 to $1000 then why not get the MOST protection?

It's So cool that the back-pack part can be removed, and you can just have a more compact air-bag than the turtle-2...Correct ???

Hello. thanks for the review. Is it possible to use the airbag system (without the bag) under my jacket?

They need to make their bag protect the shoulders

Hey bud, thanks for the review, I rock a helite 2 hi viz too, and also have a 21 300L ABS. I figure the back pack will be much more convenient for bdr camping type trips on light adventure bikes where every cubic inch of stuff space-wise counts (the vest can be stowed but it's limited in how much you can fold it up). Thanks for the review. Let me give you some advice from my side, if you haven't already ridden a husky 501 or a ktm 500, do it, you'll lose your sh*t riding those in the dirt, and on highway too in comparison to the little 300L which is tiny but mighty, but not the absolute blast that the 500 size bikes are, light and nimble as hell and with endless power. I got my 300L, then a 22 ktm 500 a year later and never looked back at the 300. Then I got a second 500 because they're so good and I want my family to ride them when they visit.

I've been considering this as a returning rider, but I'm split between the electronic and the manual (tethered) version. Mostly, I don't want to be on the highway with a dead battery on safety gear. How is the battery life, and how fast does it charge? (Also, I assume you can't tether the electronic version if the battery is dead; I've seen nothing to indicate that, but it would be neat).

I also can't find the actual dimensions of the laptop pocket. It would be great if I could toss my laptop in there and zip up to a meeting.

My backpacks get thrown around sometimes - dropping it on the ground, tossing it in the closet, etc. Think there's any potential for accidental deployment? Not sure how the electronic triggers work.

Great video. What is the neck protection with the backpack?

Thanks.
I cannot find the hi-vis version in their website or any dealer though (I am in Europe)
