A concerning trend is that many non-tech stakeholders conflate DevOps with system administration. Expectations for developers have become unrealistic. Now everyone has to be full stack - front end, back end, system administration, cloud management, and Dev Ops CI/CD. Sooner or later, this will lead to high turnover and soaring salary demands as developers seek fair compensation for their expanded roles.

Online job searching is broken. I wrote my own automation to apply for every single new job that appears, hands free. I’m sure thousands of others have some software similar to it. The main issue regarding recruiting process isn’t a lack of jobs, although there is significantly fewer from the peak of the tech market. The issue is everyone has access to the entire pool of jobs, which results in companies being put in a position where they have to pick a random person out of thousands to interview. Not sure how this can be reversed, it may be the new norm now
