Great video Darren, you know what, you are right, i noticed my RC controller is slow too on the white screen, i thought it was just me, bearing in mind i only brought my mini 4 about 3 weeks ago, so i thought it was normal, im glad you mentioned that here

I noticed this as well about the boot up speed. Part of the selling point for me was to get the drone in the air asap. But when I got the RC 2 I was starting to question the claims. I thought, “Man…I can get my phone on a controller at about the same time this is taking to boot”.

I have the same problem as you, my RC2 is very slow on startup with this black screen. I just did the update and for the moment it doesn't change anything, still the same slowness problem the RC1 was better

When I first saw the "long" black screen, I feared it crashed. It is good to know it is "just" a firmware problem

As always very good work DM. You see, I am having a problem with the last two updates, I thought this last one would fix it but it has not. The problem is that I can't perform Hyperlapses. When I hit the record and start button, it stalls it does a loop back on the red sphere of the picture and then the picture crashes, goes black and white and goes back to video mode. This is always the case. It is a real despair all this. Anyway, I hope you can help me, although I think it will have to be dji who finally does it. Best regards and thanks in advance.

Maybe I am confused but at 3:09 you are saying RC-N2 and showing the RC-N1. The Home buttons are different between the 2. I have yet to update and I am using the RC-N2 with with my TriplTek 8. I got my system the first part of March. Unless they have released different flavors? Difference in the US? Thanks.

As always very informative and helpful! I really hope DJI HO is watching this as they should really be able to sort these issues out before sending out firmware updates. As a new comer to DJI I've been very impressed but these minor issues tarnish that and I have just finished doing the update!

Takes a minute longer to warm up on the RC2? I’m not going to update this firmware until they fix that.

7:44 why on earth do you not suggest HLG for those who don’t want to color grade but who want 10-bit out of the camera? Normal mode is 8bit, HLG is a relatively normal 10bit capture? Why do you not recommend HLG? I ask because i wonder if i am misunderstanding the above.

Spot on, I have the dji 3 and the problems you have are the ones I have just after the update. The black screen, slow remote at turn on.... i didn't know what was going on. Thanks

My only complaint, with the Air3, is that when we are recording we cannot switch between the Wide and Tele cameras without stopping recording.

I've noticed this longer white screen then black screen till camera feed comes on. Also seen the P mode. It's annoying the delay on boot up

Hi buddy, wonder if you have any ideas or know someone thats had this problem. just updated my 4pro controller but when i turn on it stays on the white DJI screen and i cant do anything, swipe or other etc. is there a reset code with the buttons or a secret hole to stick a pin ??

I've been using a monitor screen with my RC2; when it works, it's great. But I frequently just get a blank monitor screen and a "no HDMI signal." Not cool.
