All due respect, what he nailed if anything was showing how even with a metronome to keep time for you, its still extremely difficult to reproduce what Donald Johnson does in his sleep.

I have listened to Khruangbin for hundreds and hundreds of hours... and this is very very good!
Could you perhaps tell me the bass guitar configuration (especially the amp, flatwounds? etc.).. I'm trying to mimic that sound as closely as possible. :)

That reggae bit at the end was cold 🫡 I'm not even sure they did that live when I saw them. Nobody can ever "be" them, but you 100% respected their tune and it seems your point is to make covering amazing artists more accessible to people. Bravo!!

I'm always looking for bands that have that similar feel, BALTHVS is closest because they both have a very relaxed but moody feel to them, Khun Narin and TPPTB have a bit more energy to them but still drive the same sound and are awesome and lesser-known (check them out!)
