that was an excellent video and brought back the feeling of times spent with my Dad, he talked and acted a lot like you with his mannerisms, and taught me the importance of slow, careful work, and regular visual inspections, if you see a leak or a torn boot or any damage, tend to it right away don't wait for it to turn into a problem. He also taught me the most important thing was to 'listen' to the car for variations from its usual sounds, one of the fastest ways to diagnose a problem. One of the better instructional videos I've encountered. Thanks!

The plastic adapter is awesome. It pushes the filter up and let's the excess oil drain out leaving little mess.

Of the numerous videos I looked at for my 2014 Camry, your video explains, in the best detail, about changing out the oil filter and doing the oil change. Thanks for taking the time to put your video on YouTube.

I used a K&N oil filter and air filter. Runs a bit better..

glad I came across your video, had no idea Toyota engineers had reverted back to 1950's designed oil filters.

That green oil filter cap wrench looks like it's made for a 1.8 liter Corolla instead of a Camry. It should still work on a 2.5 liter Camry but if I'm right then the tabs on the oil filter cap won't engage with the teeth on the cap wrench. The way your cap wrench keeps slipping off indicates that I'm probably correct. If they do engage then ignore what I'm saying. It's my mistake.

I know this video is old now, but I'm still amazed at how clean your engine bay is for a 2 year old car. You must spend a lot of time on it. My daughter now owns a 2013 Toyota Camry and the exhaust manifold cover is all rusted and things look pretty dirty. I'm looking into replacing the cover (for $100!) but I have no idea why Toyota uses such inferior metals on a lot of their parts which they must know will badly rust in a short period of time and look horrible.

Truly appreciate you doing this. Showed it to the new driver in the family watching and pausing as we went around our car's engine to follow along. 👍👍👍👍

Thanks so much for the video. We switched from a 1998 to a 2014 and it sure is different. Very helpful, thanks.

For future use the crush washer should be replaced everytime, sometimes if they’re not cracked they’re still only meant to be crushed once. You can have oil that leaks from the washer

Great video, I just bought a 2016 Camry and what you have explained is similar. I just remove the oil filter as one piece rather than removing the drain plug but is still a messy exercise.

Very well done. Good detail, and there was enough light to actually see what you are talking about! Some other videos are too dark and the details are skipped over, so one wonders why they did the video in the first place!.

Great vid....hint too...is you can remove the filter case without having to undo the filter drain....you can take the filter casing off all in one....but would do it every other oil change just to check the little o ring...GREAT VID..

We don't use the same type of Battery in Canada. The ones in Canada are heavy duty deep cycle batteries that are non serviceable (cant add water) due to the extreme cold weather winter starts.

I'm sorry I'm kind of curious but it's a question at the same time why your oil looks kind of red and my oil every time I change it it's dark why is that.

Where is that oil pan plug? Is it under the front seat, in the middle of the car? I got my oil changed last week and now I see a drip in that area.
