Thank You for getting right to the point. I wanted to know where the power steering fluid was located in my car and within 15 seconds I found out! Well done sir!

Miss the days when I could check my transmission fluid from opening the hood. It was back by the dash/back of engine. Now they make vehicles so you have to take it in just to have it checked.

Back to basics. Love it. You're doing us a great service! What a great refresher.

This Camry was one of the last good models before Toyota began cheapening some of the internal parts. For as good as the new Camry was with the look and handling, I remember how some of the door panels and skins, and some of the covers in the engine bay just seemed to be strangely skinnier than anything I had seen on an older Camry or Corolla.

Very informative - I just purchased a used 2013 and was going crazy trying to find the power steering pump on it - and you just said that it does not have one.

Could it just be a bad EPS sytstem, w/ 105k miles? thank you so much!

FYI, the transmission has to be at a certain temp range, not at full operating temperature. Something like 95-115 degrees, unless you have the toyota tool for measuring it hot.

I’ve wanted to change the trans fluid for a while on my 2012. But with 184, 000 miles, and never being changed before. Probably a bad idea.

This makes no sense. You took some transmission fluid out of the vehicle when you checked it. Did you re-fill? Was it over filled to begin with?

If someone (mechanic) does your transmission. There is no way to tell if you need more fluid. I can check my oil before a big trip. But if my transmission for some reason needs more. I can't. Just to save a few bucks.

where is the power steering fluid reservoir?

Is it recommended to flush the transmission as you change the transmission oil since it can dislodge residue into the transmission itself?
