Sir Keir Starmer has torn into Boris Johnson in their latest PMQs showdown as he accused him of “flailing around” over schools.

The Labour leader told the Commons plenty of other comparable countries were getting their children back into schools.

But Boris Johnson hit back by telling Sir Keir to get "his friends in the left-wing trade unions" to help get schools ready.

On Tuesday, the Government scrapped the plans to get more primary school children back in class before September.

Its pretty mad that infants go to school yet they have no understanding on social distancing. Its too risky.

Keir Starmer is too forensic for Boris to handle so he resorts to personal attacks and jokes instead. I love watching him waffling in defence.

You’ve put your arms around the public? More like you’ve put your hands around our throats. I’m sorry Boris but you are so out of touch with people that you sound as though you’ve lost the

Where did Sir Kiers team.pick up this bit of argumentative information. Who is driving it?
Is it simply a case of "start at the bottom of the ladder"
Does he know why they should go back, or the consequences of doing it without knowing that it is safe. .
Is it a matter of getting them in ar any cost..
Regardless of the effects on teachers and the difference in Class atmosphere and effects of the differences on susceptible pupils...

I am just so sick and tired of this Edwardian idea of so called ‘debate’. It gets nobody nowhere. Please let’s have some 21st century leadership. Instead of tergivertisation or whatever the F that is, let’s just have a proper co-produced plan, a strategy we all understand and can abide by and a process to enact it. Please god, before I die, let us have one prime minister who is not an Eton/Oxbridge careerist who thinks - or has had it drummed into them - that it is their entitlement to have power. I for one look forward to the day when we are pulling down the statues of our current so-called leaders and throwing them in the river.
