Some videos have depicted fabricated futures, and other deepfakes have played words that have never been spoken. Danielle Citron, a professor at the University of Virginia School of Law, joined CBS News to discuss how AI is changing the political landscape.

Here is a thought: ALL politicians run their ads through an 'authentication clearing house' solely set up to verify the politician said what they said.
(Not a censorship clearing house, just solely an authentication clearing house). And any ad without the clearing house's 'stamp of approval' would be questionable, and any ad that falsely puts the clearing house's stamp of approval on an ad could be guilty of a crime (at a minimum, fraud).
