So, after about an hour of swapping cables and messing with installations, I figured out that for my LG ThinQ (G8X) I had to put my USB mode to "Charging" for my device to be recognized.

(after enabling developer options, I went to USB mode, changed to Charging, and the pop-up on my phone came up.)

Just thought I'd share this info in case anyone else encountered this issue!

works perfectly. For use in OBS, go to Game Capture > Capture Specific Window > then your Phone Model. My Galaxy S21 is listed as SM-G991U, hit whatever works for yours

This doesn't work on my Galaxy S7. I've tried Win 8.1 and Win 10.... and SCRCPY v. 1.1, 1.17, 1.22, and 1.23. A narrow band of diagnostic data also appears across the top of my phone's screen now. Turning off USB debugging doesn't resolve that.

I need help regarding the "SNDCPY", It doesn't work with my phone. It installs the apk but when I press enter on the command prompt it just vanishes, not like in the video where you can see "Playing audio". Mine does not it just vanishes, if you'll be able to help then that would be amazing.

I'm using samsung galaxy A52, android 10. Oh and the notification on my phones says "sndcpy waiting for connection"

for hours I tried and I tried to get it going with the console file and it wouldn't work. Tried your no console recommendation and it worked!!!! Thank you. Straightforward, direct to the point. <3

Scrcpy was not that hard for me to install after looking at videos online and you could even do it on a Mac, you might have to just wait longer to have your phone to your screen. In my experience, you don't need the Samsung Dex doc to be able to do the phone to computer thing, just a not that expensive 60hz 4k usb-c to hmdi cable should be good enough if you have an hdmi conector thing on your computer. I also found Dex to be more reliable for consistent quality, where as Scrcpy no matter how I set it up would drop in quality sometimes and then go to 1080p for my monitor so I prefer Scrcpy, but for what Scrcpy is I rate it a 7/10 for what it is, it's usable for me if I want to use it and charge my device at the same time. Dex is for sure a better way to do phone screen mirroring and/or get a phone computer UI. I think if you know how to set it up properly and ignore the haters once you have it setup properly, you will have a better time overall with Dex if you don't like the quality drops of Scrcpy and you could even load games with Dex... if you own a Samsung device that is compatible with Dex though. Scrcpy is still decent to me compared to all the other methods and you don't need a seperate app on it. I also recommend you have a separate speaker setup if you don't want Scrcpy or Dex to have any sound from the devices internal speakers if you are trying to use a monitor with either of those. A TV with Dex and an hdmi already could play sound from the tv speakers if you wanted that and don't mind how your TV speakers sound.
