It doesn’t “get rid” of the monster. Basically, the quads are so unstable that you need to build on a triple to produce. The triple transforms into the quad. The mirror islands have a connection with the ethereal energies. That is why you use them to attune the Meebs. (After you attune a Meeb, you don’t have to click attune again. That just brings you back to the structure) (The ethereal elements are Plasma, Shadow, Mech, Crystal, Poison) (Also, read the bios of the monster. There is cool information about the monster and the lore behind it) Also, you have to get Yooreek again.

the mirror islands attune the meebs according the ethereal element the same natrual island contains, once you attune enough meebs to your likings you sysatize the meebs by pressing the synsatizer and creationg a monster, in the feuture new monsters will be added with new upgrades to the castle and synsetizer, so preper your shards, get celestails, wublins and make shard farm on the magical and ethereal, caz that is gonna cost alot.

This is why there is no breeding structre and no nursery in ethereal workshop long back when they created the ethereal workshop wave 1 the monster handlers wanted to make the ethereal workshop diffrent from the others thats why ethereal workshop dont have breeding structre and no nursery

So the meebs go to the attunement structure and take the ethereal energies from the mirror islands and become a ethereal element then they go to the synthesizer and they create a monster

the elements are actually connected to the ethereal on that island
because the element of ghazt has the same element as the meeb in ethereal workshop
and for grumpyre, reebro, jeeode and humbug.
and the meebs are just basically baby versions of the ethereal of that island,
so thats why you can make triple and quad element ethereal/s.
and i think the reason why you need to use the mirror islands to attune the meebs, i think its because it’s so that you can make duplicates of the ethereal of that island and make baby versions of the ethereal (meebs) of the island. and it probably makes sense because mirrors can basically just make duplicates of yourself but you can’t actually touch it. but the workshop somehow made it to ACTUALLY make duplicates of the ethereal but basically baby versions. (meebs)
