To all those watching please take note of this: If you have not updated your Google Drive backup in the last 5 months, then your backup will get deleted automatically since google autodeletes backups if they haven't been updated for 5 months. Please be warned!!!

Keep in mind that if people don't have a backup in drive they would loose it every chat. You have to check if you have back up every time you need to do anything wired.

Hello ♡ In June, my BLU phone screen became unresponsive so I had to use an old phone (Samsung S9 Plus) for WhatsApp.

I had my chat backup set to daily before the phone screen died so I thought I'd get my chats back if I restored then on the S9+ but this was not this case for some reason.

The last time I used WhatsApp on the S9+ was in April 2023 and only until then was restored. So, I have a 14 month gap in messages.

I decided to get over it because I had exams coming up and I no time to worry about some chats so I continued using WhatsApp on the S9+ with the 14 month gap.


Now, I've finally gotten a new phone but I haven't set up WhatsApp on it yet and I was wondering if there is a way to use the backups on the BLU itself (Not Google Drive) to fill in the gap in the chats. Like is there a way to somehow merge the two sets of chats? Or do I just have to live with the gap?
