I got inspiration from Marble Zone Down Remix (The one used on Kaizo Sonic, Tidal Tempest BF JP, Wacky Workbench BF JP, Amalgam (From Undertale, not directly, but the fast pace and distorted instruments made me think on that...) and MTBV

Bad future: Eggman has absorbed some of the the lava from marble zone using it at a weapon to kill the wildlife in the other zones so he can have an easier time taking them over. Eggman has replaced some of the lava with molten metal. Eggman has also brought the people who lived here back from the dead and is using them as slaves.

MY FAVOURITE REMIX OF MARBLE ZONE, seriously, love that! Marble Zone is the best Sonic 1 zone in my opinion & this mix is just perfect!

As this is basically an underground ruins filled with lava, a really evil theme could be perfect. If I knew how to remix, I'd choose the sound motifs of Tidal Tempest JP, possibly with some evil guitar chords from Collision Chaos US.
