My dad had bladder cancer, never smoked a day in his life.

“50-60% of bladder cancer is caused by smoking” that means 40-50% is caused by other things.

I would have like to have heard what else has been found to cause bladder cancer.

I was not a tobacco user and I came down with bladder cancer. What I find interesting is that I developed bladder cancer shortly after weening myself off of PPI's.

How about second hand smoke? I had superficial bladder cancer. I was a plumber to for 43 year’s. Bladder is looking better I go in August again. Thank you for great videos.

I wish would have done a full length and more thorough version on this one that the SHORTS Dr. Malik! I smoked for 10 to 12 years, but quite over 52 years ago. I was diagnosed with bladder cancer in Oct or Nov 2015 or so. I've past my five year mark with twice annual cystoscopy. Now moving on to just once per year, but still cancer free. My wife's a nurse and she believes that second hand smoke can be more harmful.

My dad died of bladder cancer and he smoked most of his adult life. It seems it is easier to list what smoking doesn't cause or contribute to.

I looked up secondhand smoke is still quite high. My dad use to smoke all the time until I was in my mod 20s. 😒

When you say that most bladder cancers are due to smoking, is chronic bladder irritation the real issue? I have a permanent SPC, have never smoked, but got bladder cancer after having the catheter for five years. I was told that long-term irritation from the catheter caused the cancer to form. Obviously I will never know for sure.

It's true, it's better to buy pure tobacco and learn to roll your own cigarettes. I know it's a pain, but the chemicals that big tobacco put in their cigarettes are unbelievable! Just buy tobacco and get a pipe...or get cigars and don't inhale.
