Its crazy to think how people still manage to live like that still these days . Just shows you how people
Adapt to survive no matter the situation. Makes you realise how lucky I have it in my life with my kids .

Good day everyone. The so-called "Bajo or Bajoe in Indonesia", "Bajau, Bajao, Bajaw" in Malaysia, "Badjao" in the Philippines, and "Samal" in Sulu, and similar cognates, are indeed "Sama". All these autonyms and exonyms have been put upon members of the Sama by the "outsiders". Sama is the appropriate and acceptable ethnonym when referring to any autonym or exonym of members of these ethnic group. The first settlers of Sulu, Basilan and Zamboanga (now Zamboanga City) were the Sama (Pallessen, 1985). They were the fourth group of people who migrated from Indonesia to Zamboanga Peninsulas, Basilan and Sulu way back to 12, 000-8, 000 AD (Maximilan Larena, 2021). There are a lot of things to talk about the evasive identity of these people, but this is not the proper forum to tell who really these people are/were.

The Bajau Laut tribe is one of the last nomadic sea tribes in Indonesia. Their life is now changing, with the developments of the modern world, including economic pressure. Government and aid organizations pressure the community to follow education standards for their children and move to permanent settlements.
