If you already own a Ring doorbell and are looking to add more security cameras around your property Ring has a fair number of options to choose from allowing you to monitor/manage all your cameras in a single app. The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is both a security camera and floodlight in one so not only can it help you monitor your property both day and night but it can brightly light the area in front of it with it's 2000 lumen LED lights. The Floodlight Cam Wire Pro connects directly to your homes wiring, replacing other light fixtures you may have. It can be mounted to both a wall, ceiling or soffit and uses either 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless b/g/n/ac to connect to your homes wi-fi network. It sports a 1080p full HD camera and a 140 degree horizontal by 80 degree vertical field of view. Im replacing my existing floodlight, the existing flood light turns on and off with the light switch. Would i be able to set the floodlight cam to turn on amd off with the light switch?

BEWARE if you think "works with Alexa" means you can say "Alexa, turn on the light" you'd be wrong. To turn on the light, without it having detected motion, I need to find my phone, log in, find the app, log in, find how to turn on the light and do so. By this time the reason I needed to turn on the light has likely passed. I don’t need a $250 light that is falsely advertised.

We have an electrician coming to install a wired-Pro. Our spot is similar to yours next to the porch door, not too high above ground. I wanted it higher, but realized the electrician cost would be triple the price to create a new outlet. Can intruders remove the camera easily i.e. if we miss the notification for whatever reason?

I have two porch lights on each side - left and right side. How do I connect the Ring floodlight on the right side so that when the floodlight turns on, the left conventional porch light also turns on. The circuit is controlled by a light switch. Thanks for any advice you have.

For setup, scanning of the code from the instruction sheet does NOT, or should I say for me did NOT work. I found the code on the light/camera and box. I scanned the code from the bottom of the box and setup was seamless.
