You can always try restarting the iPad if all else fails by holding down the off button for a few seconds. Hold it down a few more to turn it back on.

At least you're answer was not a hard reset. Yours actually makes more sense. I was on a board called ilounge and when I mentioned my Facebook app crashing numorous (even when I install and reinstall it) times, he said my iPad is on borrowed times and must do a hard reset, erase everything and start all over. While now I just use Safari for Facebook so far no crashes. I just need to stop having more than one app open at the same time, right?
