Met de inzet van de tenor melodie wacht je best lang, maar het werkt en je speelt het heerlijk vrij, midden in de nacht zo te zien en ... koud.

I really like your performance. Just the right tempo. I also like how the 32' low C shakes the camera at about 3:40! And that low B-flat pedal at the end -- ooooh!

What a beautiful instrument! Your registration and tempo are spot on. I love your subtle articulations. The only thing I suggest is to not take too much time between phrases as it disrupts the overall trajectory of the piece. Bravo Mr. Stouten!

Some two minutes longer than GTB's 1948 recording but it works for me and has much warmth and sincerity. GTB had to hurry to get his recording on one side of a 78 rpm disc, whereas I'm sure that he chose a more relaxed tempo in recital.

I think this is the most skillfully played version of this piece on YouTube. The registration is perfect, as is the tempo.

I think your pauses were fine. It takes a real musician to understand that silence must coexist with sound in a performance like this. You also play the building well.
Would I do it slightly differently? Probably. But your performance has character and emotion, which is what matters!

No expert here except with my ear....the pauses between the phrases might as well be and hour or two, ruined it for me. Sorry to say so when clearly this gentleman is a master musician.
