Here's the easiest guide on how to lower processes in windows 11 to increase your PC performance and boost FPS.

The method to reduce processes by changing values in registry does not do what people think it does, it does not shut down processes it groups them together, so it optically reduces the number, but they are still there working in the background. It makes your system potentially less stable, default behaviour sets small threshold to svchost so a lot of processes are created and if one crashes or has an error it's usually less of an issue, now if we change the value the threshold gets bigger so more processes are grouped together and if one crashes the whole group crashes and can potentially result in bsods or other instabilitles and errors.

I use both Win 10, and 11 24H2 (very latest version), on different SSD's. The 10 version was modded by a trusted third party, and as much as I know how to tinker with Windows, I always wondered how the 10 version had a maximum of 56 processes running. Now I know, thanks to you guide2play!. Now, am getting about 70 processes in Win 11, from 110. Great stuff!
